Arike Ogunbowale
Arike Ogunbowale, a Nigerian American professional player who plays for the Dallas Wings of the Women's National Basketball Association. She was a college basketball player with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, prior to being selected by the Wings with the fifth overall selection of the 2019 WNBA draft. Arike Ogunbowale is a Milwaukee Wisconsin native born to Yolanda Ogunbowale. Mario Ogunbowale, who is 26 years old, is her brother. Dare Ogunbowale, 20 years of age. Arike graduated in Divine Savior Holy Angels High School which is located in Arike's hometown. She participated in three games of the varsity league during her time at school. Ogunbowale led her team to numerous victories using her outstanding abilities. Her high school experience comprised 73 plays and 1,477 points in her career and 739 career rebounds. Ogunbowale won gold in 2013 World U16 Championships of FIBA Americas as well as 2014 FIBA U17 World Championships. In July 2014, she was selected to join the USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Ogunbowale was named on the ACC All-Freshman Team following her debut year as a collegiate player. The coach even thanked the Kobe Bryant after she hit several big shots at the NCCA Tournament.
